when I was selling SSL consoles, people ONLY wanted the "E" EQ.īecause the G does not have the bell curve, you cannot match settings if the "E" is not using the shelf on the high and low. Maybe this gives the illusion that Waves didn't just copy the E channel and give it a new GUI?.just kidding, I've A/B'd them and they do have differences. I tweaked the G to match the more pleasing E preset and it sounded much better.ĭoes anyone know if this was a mistake? I can't imagine anyone sounding good through the provided preset. I was A/B'ng my vocals through the E and G channel "Lead Vocals" presets.
